David G. Michael Selected to Moderate Panel Discussion On the Opportunities and Challenges Facing Urban Farmers

Michael, an attorney specializing in Real Estate law at Lipson, Neilson, Cole, Seltzer, Garin, P.C., has been selected by the Oakland County Bar Association’s Real Estate Committee to moderate a panel of industry experts during a seminar titled “Planting City Roots: Advising the Urban Agriculture Enterprise.”

Held on June 22, 2017, this seminar provided attendees with an interactive discussion of the challenges faced by urban agriculture enterprises, as well as the legal and business issues that need to be addressed by these enterprises.

Topics of discussion included:

  • The case for welcoming agriculture to urban neighborhoods and communities.
  • The legal and public policy issues facing urban agriculture enterprises large and small.
  • Agrihoods: The latest trends in urban revitalization, from farm-to-table.
  • Regulating medical marijuana growers under the revised Medical Marijuana Act.

David Michael Featured Speaker at Real Estate Law Seminar for New Lawyers

IMG_1417David Michael, an attorney at Lipson, Neilson, Cole, Seltzer, Garin, P.C., and the immediate Past-Chair of the Oakland County Bar Association’s Real Estate Committee, will be one of two featured speakers during the upcoming “Practical Knowledge Seminar on Real Estate Law.” This seminar will be conducted at 6:00pm on October 13, 2016 at the Oakland County Bar Association in Bloomfield Hills. Part of the OCBA U Practical Knowledge series, this seminar will provide new lawyers with insight into the nuts-and-bolts of real estate law in Michigan.

David Michael specializes in all aspects of real estate law and litigation and remains active in the Oakland County Bar Association’s Real Estate Committee. Most recently, Mr. Michael co-authored an article for the journal Laches titled “Avoiding the Abyss: Environmental Due Diligence in Real Estate” and—along with co-authors Brian Considine, Nicholas Maloof and moderator Philip Grashoff—presented a seminar of the same name on June 15, 2016, at Cooley Law School.

Presented by Solutions Real Estate, this event provided attendees with the latest news and updates pertaining to the real estate industry.

Dax Watson focuses his law practice in commercial litigation with an emphasis in real estate matters and professional liability defense.
