Kari D. McKelvie is a corporate paralegal with the law firm of Lipson, Neilson, Cole, Seltzer & Garin, P.C. and has been with the firm for nearly 20 years. She has over 20 years experience in a variety of legal disciplines, including but not limited to, the areas of estate and business succession planning; formation of business entities and ongoing compliance requirements, closing on asset and stock purchase agreements as well as merger and acquisition transactions; and a variety of real estate transactions.
She regularly assists firm lawyers in implementing estate and business succession planning strategies; entity formations, conversions and dissolutions; partnership, limited liability company and joint venture structuring; obtaining Tax Exemption status and Solicitation Licenses for nonprofit corporations; purchase and sale of businesses; mortgage financing; and she is instrumental in preparing the documentation relating to these matters.
Kari is an affiliate member in the Paralegal/Legal Assistants Section of the State Bar of Michigan as well as a current member of the Business Law Section and Probate and Estate Planning Section.
