——————————————————————————– Shawn Y. Grinnen is an associate in the firm and concentrates his practice in the areas referenced above. His work concentrates on real estate developers, builders, construction trades, and various small to medium sized business entities, as well as being active in various matters for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in its receiver capacity over failed banks. Mr. Grinnen received his Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice, cum laude, from the Pennsylvania State University in 1996 and received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2000. While in law school, Mr. Grinnen was the Managing Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review, participated in the school’s in-house legal clinic, and was an active research and teaching assistant. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Grinnen joined the Michigan Court of Appeals where he was employed as a prehearing research attorney in the Lansing office. Mr. Grinnen is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan, as well as before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
