As a partner at Lipson, Neilson, Cole, Seltzer & Garin, P.C., Karen A. Smyth has considerable experience counseling and defending clients in a broad range of litigation matters including but not limited to legal professional and medical liability, mass tort, real estate and title insurance defense. Ms. Smyth is a licensed attorney in Michigan and New York. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, and the Health Care, Negligence and Litigation Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan. She co-authored an article on the topic of the statute of limitations and legal malpractice claims which was featured in the Michigan Defense Quarterly. Ms. Smyth earned a bachelors of arts degree from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York and earned her juris doctor from the University of Detroit School of Law in Detroit, Michigan. |
