Neilson is known nationally for his expertise in business counseling and estate planning. His valued insights have been published in a number of national publications including Insurance Advocate and Small Business Opportunities. On behalf of the firm, Mr. Neilson concentrates his efforts on matters relating to estate planning, corporate law, probate and business representation, which include the following areas of specialty: legal malpractice, business succession planning, retirement planning, business counseling, tax controversies, mergers and acquisitions. His advice is sought in the area of SBA loans and he is frequently consulted with respect to guardianship and conservatorship matters. He also serves as an independent facilitator/mediator in all areas of civil law and with respect to domestic matters. Mr. Neilson is a Wayne County Public Administrator who is frequently appointed by the Judges of the Wayne County Probate Court to assume administration of decedent’s estates, guardianships and conservatorships. Jeffrey Neilson is licensed to practice law in the states of Michigan, Nevada, and Colorado. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Probate Section; the Nevada State Bar; and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a B. A. from the University of Michigan and earned a J.D. from the University of Detroit. Mr. Neilson also earned his L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University. |
