Debra J. Lahr

Debra J. Lahr is a corporate paralegal with Lipson, Neilson, Cole, Seltzer & Garin, P.C. Debra celebrated 20 years with the firm in 2009. Having over 25 years experience in the areas of probate, trust administration, pre-death and post-death tax planning, estate planning and real estate, she provides　an invaluable resource to the firm. She is instrumental in preparing documents from commencement of estate administration to trial preparation, to closing of estate administration with supervision from various lawyers. Debra attends court hearings with attorneys from the firm. Her knowledge in tax law allows her to assist lawyers at the firm with the preparation of estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and various income tax returns. Over the years she has assisted with maintaining the integrity of the firm’s law library.Debra earned an A.A.S. from Ferris State University, specializing as a legal assistant. She is a past member of the Ferris State University Paralegal Association and is currently a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section and Probate and Estate Planning Section.She contributed to “Trade Secrets”, an article that appeared in the Michigan Bar Journal in July 2007 which discussed the use of paralegals in their various disciplines.　dlahr@lipsonneilson.com
