C. Thomas Ludden is a partner with Lipson, Neilson, Cole, Seltzer & Garin, P.C., where he specializes in commercial litigation, professional liability, and appellate practice. Mr. Ludden also brings to his practice extensive insurance coverage and appellate experience. He has defended over 100 law firms and lawyers during his career, while also handling a broad range of commercial disputes, including representing both landlords and tenants in commercial lease and other contractual disputes, software developers in intellectual property matters and both private and public corporations in environmental litigation. Mr. Ludden’s primary goal is the prompt and cost effective resolution of disputes for clients. In reaching the best possible result for his clients, he has employed a variety of dispute resolution methods, including facilitation and mediation in order to settle disputes before significant costs are incurred. However, it takes two sides to settle a dispute, and in some cases, Mr. Ludden has successfully tried a significant number of cases in both federal and state court and in private arbitrations. Mr. Ludden majored in Latin, Greek and Economics at Dickinson College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, with departmental honors in Greek. He then received his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. A member of the American Bar Association, the Michigan Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association, he has served on the board of the Michigan chapter of the Federalist Society since 1998. He has authored articles published by the Federalist Society, Michigan Lawyers Weekly, the Oakland County Legal News and the Detroit Legal News.
